It simply slides into place into your vehicles existing cup holder, and is held securely by a special tapered, textured design. The radio drops into the socket and is held at a nice backwards angle to make it easier to see while driving. There is a slot on the back to accommodate the factory belt clip. Open on the side to allow the radio to be plugged into USB while docked. Designed to not block the speaker. Made of extremely strong and heat-resistant polymer that will not deform under the hot conditions commonly found inside closed vehicles in the summer sun (not made of common, inexpensive PLA which will not survive much heat).
