Description: RARE Vintage 1930s Quaker Mother's Oats Store Display Photograph Grocery Supermarket When will you get another chance on a piece of Homer Laughlin and Quaker Mother's Oats ephemera? This is a very rare 1930s photograph of a in store display of Mother's Oats promoting weight loss and low calorie diet menus from this product. This kind of item doesn't find its way to being preserved for over 80 years! Never seen any others (than the ones we have listed in the store) of these photographs showcasing old Mother's Oats display set up in a supermarket / grocery store - this one has a couple Mother's Carnival Oats boxes amongst the others, but not prominently displayed. What an awesome relic to add to your collection of vintage photos, vintage pottery ephemera, or Quaker Mother's Oats collection! For many years American potteries produced wares for the Quaker Oats Company to be packaged in boxes of oats. In the 1920s, breakfast sets were made consisting of teacups, saucers, 6" plates, oatmeal bowls, and fruit cups. Sometimes pieces were taken from existing lines of dinnerware, and in other cases, items were specially created for the promotion. The Homer Laughlin China Co. almost always shared production of these special promotional lines. Quaker Oats' orders were quite large and they didn't want to rely solely on one pottery to supply the dishes. This is a store display with various Quaker Oats products with promotional wares of Mother's Oats with aluminum ware or china ware or with a beautiful cup and saucer. This photograph measures approximately 6.5 x 4.5 inches. We have LOTS of Mother's Oats pottery pieces in the store (including more of these images and the boxes featured in these photographs) - both the 1930's and 1950's glaze colors, plus super rare items! Be sure to check out all of them - we will combine shipping if purchasing more than one listing of anything in the store! Condition: In very good vintage preowned condition.
