Description: CONDITION: Except for a bit of wear to gilding inside the well of the saucer, this set is excellent. This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Heufel Dresden in the1880s. The saucer has a diameter of 3 1/4 inches. The cup is 1 3/4 inches tall with a diameter of 1 5/8 inches. It would be considered a miniature. The borders are trimmed with iridescent purple. Elaborate gold trim decorates the purple bands and cream colored ground. There is tiny raised gold beading and tiny red enamel beads or jewels. Gilded leaves encircle the cup and a gilded medallion decorates the well of the saucer.
