Description: "LEE MERIWETHER" ORIGINAL AUTOGRAPHED PHOTO – 1955. 8" x 10". Litho on card stock. Great b&w image of Lee as Miss America, posing with crown next to a vintage Philco "Miss America" console TV set. Hand-signed within TV screen in blue ink "To Butch, Hi there, Lee Meriwether". NOTE: The Philco Corporation and ABC network televised the first live Miss America broadcast in September 1954. Lee Meriwether captured the title for 1955. This photo was probably an in-store giveaway where Lee made a personal appearance for Philco. Meriwether is perhaps best remembered for her role as CATWOMAN in the 1966 BATMAN feature film. She also appeared in the 1966-67 TIME TUNNELL TV series, and as Buddy Ebsen's secretary the 1970's TV crime drama BARNABY JONES. An outstanding & uncommon photographic image with outstanding eye appeal. We consider condition as FAIR with miscellaneous surface/stain/edge wear. Misc. surface creasing with scattered edge punctures creating surface tears. The 1950's period autograph is a bit faded. No chips or pinholes. Overall, despite defects, we feel this is still a displayable example by most standards (see photos). It would make a scarce LEE MERIWETHER display for the discriminating AUTOGRAPH enthusiast.
